FAQ’sThe Rooflight Superstore

Question:

Where do I measure to and from to determine the size I require?

Answer:

For complete units including kerbs/upstands, you will need to measure your roof opening size (the space between your roof joists). For top only units, you will need to measure your overall kerb size (outside edge to outside edge).

Question:

How do I order my rooflight?

Answer:

You can purchase standard size rooflights directly from our website. Bespoke and custom items (and standard sizes) can also be ordered over the phone and via proforma invoice.

Question:

Do the rooflights come with a warranty?

Answer:

Yes. All of our products come with a warranty ranging from 3 years to 10 years. Please see our individual product pages for further details.

Question:

Are the rooflights safe to walk on?

Answer:

Only our “walk on” rooflight range can be walked on. Our polycarbonate and standard glass products cannot be walked on.

Question:

What is the difference between double and triple skin polycarbonate domes?

Answer:

Triple skin will be required for all new builds and where the dome is situated over a hot area (e.g. bathrooms and kitchens). For all other situations, double skin will be fine.

Question:

Will your polycarbonate domes be damaged by sun UV rays?

Answer:

No. The polycarbonate units we sell come with a unique UV coating to prevent discoloration from the sun.
